Ima Fancy Eye Opener scored a wire-to-wire win in Saturday's 330-yard, $75,000 Mr Master Bug Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-bred 3-year-olds.

Trained by Rhonda Valdivia for owners Shania Cox and Terry Dale Cox of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Ima Fancy Eye Opener defeated odds-on favorite Curls Magic Wagon by a neck in :16.413, a clocking aided by a reported 8-mph tail wind on a sloppy and sealed track. Bryan Candanosa rode the gray son of Im A Fancy PYC.

Ima Fancy Eye Opener became the first two-time stakes winner of the Remington Park meet, which opened March 6. The gelding was bred by Rhonda Valdivia, and he is out of the winning Mr Eye Opener mare Lil Miss Eye Opener.

Ima Fancy Eye Opener opened his sophomore season with a three-quarter length victory in the March 9, 250-yard Mighty Deck Three Stakes (RG2). All told, the gelding has won eight of his 11 races -- including five of six at Remington Park -- and the $42,000 winner's share of the purse from his fourth stakes victory pushed his bankroll to $248,644.

This race was originally scheduled to be run at 350 yards.
