Dreamin Woodrow, a gelded son of the Dash Ta Fame stallion Woodbridge, on Saturday posted the fastest qualifying time to the June 2, $60,000-added New Mexico Breeders' Futurity (RG3) at SunRay Park.

Ridden by Mauro Salcedo, Dreamin Woodrow made his career debut with a one-length victory over fourth-fastest qualifier Runner Chick in the first of four trials. Mario Fernandez prepped the gelding, who covered 350 yards in :17.492, for owners Juan Castro and Sergio Castro.

Dreamin Woodrow was bred by Mark and Peggy Brown, and he was a $7,000 yearling buy at last year's New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs. The sorrel gelding is out of Frosty Dreams, an unraced homebred daughter of the Chicks Beduino stallion Legendary Dreamer.

Fernandez qualified two finalists, including sixth-fastest qualifier Eclipse The Moon. Trainer Cynthia Gonzalez also qualified two finalists, fifth-fastest qualifier Xtra Feature and 10th-fastest qualifier Damazo Bay.
