Following is a recap of all official American Quarter Horse stakes for the week of November 23-24. Turf Paradise
Favorite Latin Lover, a son of the Favorite Trick (TB) stallion Favorite Cartel owned and trained by Rigoberto Guillen, is the fastest qualifier to the December 15, $17,500-added AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity.
Ridden by Joseph Belloc Jr., Favorite Latin Lover on Sunday won the second of two 400-yard trials by a nose in :19.735. The gelding was winning for the fourth time in five outs and increasing his earnings to $32,316.
Favorite Latin Lover was bred in Texas by Steve Burns, Paul Jones, and Thompson Racing. HIs record includes a victory in the April 28, 300-yard Desert Classic Futurity at this track.
