Sent to post at odds of 15-1 in a field of seven Louisiana-bred sprinters, Christopher A. Villatoro's Apollitical B Snow scored a 1 1/4-length victory in Tuesday's $50,000 Open Me A Corona Stakes (RG2) at Delta Downs.

Apollitical B Snow went 350 yards in :17.225 while recording a 101 speed index. Everardo Rodriguez rode the 4-year-old Apollitical Blood gelding for trainer Rosendo Valdez Jr.

Apollitical B Snow was bred by Glinden Leger Estate. Raced exclusively in Louisiana, the gelding has won four of 15 outs, and the $30,000 winner's share of the purse from his first stakes score pushed his bankroll to $78,658. Apollitical B Snow was a finalist in last year's Louisiana QHBA Breeders' Derby (RG3) at Evangeline Downs.

Tuckers Prize ran second and was followed by Ought To Go Tee, even-money favorite Lifeinthefastlanes, Fabulously Black, Jess U R Blue, and Love The Way You Fly.
