The American Quarter Horse Association was informed of additional positive COVID-19 cases that listed the 2020 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); Adequan® Level 2 Championships; Nutrena Level 1 Championships; and AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals as a possible exposure site after the completion of the event. Contact tracing has been completed, and the individuals who were potentially exposed have been notified.

“We appreciate all attendees’ compliance during the show, which allowed us to host a successful Farnam AQHA and Adequan® Select World,” said Justin Billings, AQHA chief show officer. “We hope attendees continue to remain cautious at upcoming events and through the holiday season.”

During the show, AQHA implemented a series of event health protocols to minimize the risk of potential exposure for both attendees and staff because there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any setting where people are present. All attendees were required to complete a COVID-19 Health Acknowledgement and Liability Waiver. By signing the waiver, attendees agreed to adhere to the event health protocols, including wearing facial protection and social distancing.

Exhibitors who decided not to come to Oklahoma City due to COVID-19 concerns or were required to leave the premises as a result of a potential exposure, will receive a refund, less the processing fees, after the show.
