Sent to post as the 7-5 choice in a full field of 10 Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds, Famous N Relentless sprinted to a one-length victory in Saturday's 330-yard,
$100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Stakes (R) at Remington Park.
Famous N Relentless stopped the timer in :16.506 on a sloppy and sealed track while aided by a reported 15-mph tail wind. Ramiro Garcia rode the sorrel son of champion Hes Relentless for owners Tom Maher and Amber Olmstead, and trainer Jason Olmstead.
Famous N Relentless was bred by Tom Maher, and the gelding made his career debut with a one-length victory in a 330-yard Remington Park Futurity (RG1) trial on April 4. Famous N Relentless is out of Tritoon, a winning California-bred daughter of champion Tres Seis purchased by Maher and Thomas Scheckel for $72,000 at the 2015 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. The gelding's second dam, the winning and multiple stakes placed First Down Dash mare Lotta Love For Robyn, ran fourth in Ochoa's 2011 All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.
Famous N Relentless was winning for the second time in as many races, and the $40,000 from his first stakes victory boosted his bankroll to $48,625.
