The forecast of winter weather in central Oklahoma for Tuesday night has prompted Remington Park officials to cease morning training for two days.

Late Tuesday night, precipitation is expected to begin and continue until late morning Wednesday. Combined with sub-freezing temperatures, resulting conditions will not allow for safe and proper training at Remington Park. At this time, morning training will resume on Friday, February 14.

Also Friday, 13 training races will be conducted beginning at 11am. Originally slated for Wednesday, Feb. 12, the training races were moved due to the winter weather.

All Remington Park training races are held at 250 yards. The events, also known as schooling races, are utilized by trainers to ready young 2-year-olds for the start of their careers. A horse handling the training race professionally, and in a reasonable time, is then approved for pari-mutuel racing by the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission stewards.

The 2025 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season at Remington Park will begin on March 6 and continue to May 31.

Remington Park has provided more than $375 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005. Located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District, Remington Park presents year-round simulcast racing and casino gaming. The 2025 American Quarter Horse Season will begin on March 6. Must be 18 or older to wager on horse racing or enter the casino gaming floor. Visit remingtonpark.com for more information.
