Remington Training Races

Training races begin February 12 at Oklahoma City racetrack.

The initial training races of the Remington Park preseason are set for Wednesday, February 12, and Thursday, February 13, as preparations continue for the 2020 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season.

A total of 21 training races will be contested on those two days, with 10 races on Wednesday and 11 on Thursday. All Remington Park training races are at 250 yards. The events provide trainers an opportunity to ready their new athletes and get them approved by Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission stewards for their pari-mutuel debuts. The first training race both days will leave the starting gate at 11 a.m. 

The 50-date live racing season will at Remington Park will get underway on March 6 at 6 p.m. The opening weekend also features trial racing for the historic Oklahoma Futurity on Saturday, March 7 at 4 p.m., and Sunday afternoon racing at 1:30 p.m. on March 8.
