Richest AQHA Ranch Horse Event of the Year Kicks Off

The AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships and concurrent events kicked off June 21 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and will award $300,000 in purse and prizes over the next five days.

Top exhibitors and their ranch-bred American Quarter Horses representing 31 states from across the country kicked off the 2022 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships starting with Level 1 amateur cutting. The show started at 7 a.m. on June 21 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and runs through June 25. The event will culminate with the AQHA VRH World Champion and NRSHA National Champion All-Around Awards Ceremony slated for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, in the Lazy E Arena.

The AQHA VRH World plays host to the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals; AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships, presented by the Four Sixes Ranch; and the National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Championship Show.

“Exhibitors competing at the 2022 AQHA VRH World are an integral part of the AQHA family,” said Justin Billings, AQHA chief show officer. “Our deep ranching roots are celebrated during this incredible event with more than 2,400 entries competing for $300,000 in purse and prizes.
