Brenda Reiswig's Midnight Moonlyte, a homebred son of champion First Moonflash, earned his first stakes victory in Sunday's $100,000 Ruidoso Juvenile Stakes at Ruidoso Downs.

Prepped by Clint Crawford, Midnight Moonlyte covered 350 yards in :17.455, and his winning margin was a half of a length from Apollitical B Beast. Cody Smith rode the brown Oklahoma-bred gelding.

Midnight Moonlyte is out of Midnight Sunlight, a winning 9-year-old daughter of Ivory James who won the 2012 Northlands Futurity at Canterbury Park and ran second in that season's Oklahoma Futurity (G2) at Remington Park. His second dam, the Royal Quick Dash mare Quick Moon Sign, won two Grade 1 futurities and ran second in Casino Talk's 1997 Ruidoso Futurity (G1).

Raced in New Mexico and Oklahoma, Midnight Moonlyte has won two of three starts, and the $42,000 winner's share of the Ruidoso Juvenile purse pushed his bankroll to $57,440.

Three Times A Ladye ran third and was followed by FM Dynasty Rock, Rtempting Fortune, Fantsy First Down, BD Charles In Charge, Cash For Willie, and Bodacious Time.
