Trump My Record, the fastest qualifier and 3-5 favorite, led at every call en route to a half-length victory in Friday's 330-yard, $459,700 Sam Houston Futurity (G2) at Sam Houston Race Park.

Racing for Cruz E. Nava and prepped by the owner's brother-in-law Arturo Davila III, Trump My Record stopped the timer in :16.543 while recording his fourth win in as many starts and second stakes score. The bay son of Apollitical Blood banked $183,880 to increase his earnings to $302,532.

"He's phenomenal," said Eddie Sanchez, who rode Trump My Record. "He broke well, and in front. I could see (runner-up) Pa Cha Ching coming, but we got to the wire in time."

Trump My Record was bred in Texas by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches Lp, and he was coming off of a 1 1/2-length win in the fifth of 15 Sam Houston Futurity trials on April 13. The colt's dam, Breck N Records, is a winning 7-year-old daughter of Pyc Paint Your Wagon.

Trump My Record's resume includes a neck victory in the 300-yard, $254,000 Harrah's Futurity (G3) at Louisiana Downs on March 20.

"We feel so blessed," said Davila. "He just keeps doing it. I think tonight he really put a stamp on how good he is."

Pa Cha Ching finished second and was followed by A Painted Dynasty, Domino CD, Rusty Blood GL, Doc Hockaday, Shes No Illusion, Mystic Lake, Jess Dashin Along, and Sensational Senator.
