Following is a recap of all official American Quarter Horse stakes and trials for the week of September 11-15. For recaps of most graded stakes, Bank of America Racing Challenge stakes and trials, and most stakes with purses of $100,000 or more, see the individual recaps in the Racing News section. This page will be updated throughout the week.

Ajax Downs
Rachael Isaacs rode Runaway Fate to a neck victory in Wednesday's $43,434(US) Ontario Sires' Futurity (R) for -year-olds sired by participating stallions.

Prepped by Bob Broadstock for owner Heste Sport Inc., Runaway Fate covered 330 yards in :17.203. The homebred son of the PYC Paint Your Wagon stallion Peighnt Your Fate earned $17,374 from his first career stakes win.

Runaway Fate was bred in Ontario, and he was the seventh-fastest qualifier from two trials run at this track on August 21. The gelding is out of Runaway Cause, a winning 13-year-old daughter of champion Ocean Runaway.

Runaway Fate was winning for the first time in six starts and increasing his bankroll to $29,547.
 

Fastest qualifier First For You finished third, a half of a length behind Runaway Fate.

Also on Wednesday, John S. Wilson's Rbybybaby won the 400-yard, $37,030(US) Norman Picov Derby for 3-year-olds.

Trained by Scott Reid, Rbybybaby defeated Eye Tempt You by a neck in :20.293. Carly Furlonger rode the black daughter of the First Down Dash stallion Hez Our Secret.

Rbybybaby was bred in Washington by Bob and Deanna Williams. The filly was purchased by Wilson for $20,000 at last year's Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City, and she is out of Rmiss Perry, a homebred 8-year-old daughter of champion Mr Jess Perry.

Raced in Ontario and Oklahoma, Rbybybaby has won five of her 11 starts -- including the May 22 QROOI Open Derby at this track -- and she has banked $50,487, of which $38,446 has been earned from five outs this year.

Arapahoe Park
Barron Racing's Glittr Factory on Saturday set the fastest qualifying time to the September 28, $83,500-est. Rocky Mountain Futurity.

Glittr Factory broke her maiden with a three-quarter length win in the second of five trials. Ridden by Martin Lazalde for trainer Jose Manuel Barron, the Flare For Ivory filly went 330 yards in :16.989 while earning her first win in two races.

Glittr Factory was bred in Colorado by Hugo Barron Sierra, and she is out of Seis Star Glitter, a homebred winning and multiple graded stakes placed daughter of champion Tres Seis who ran second in the 2009 Rocky Mountain Futurity (G3).

Injeanius, a bay son of Favorite Cartel racing for Javier Gonzalez, is the fastest qualifier to the September 29, $70,300-est. Rocky Mountain Derby.

Saddled by Jose Chavez, Injeanius won the second of five 350-yard trials by one length in :17.724. Valente Vorrath rode the gelding.

Injeanius was coming off of a neck victory in a 330-yard, $16,000 allowance dash at Wyoming Downs on July 27. The gelding was bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, and he is out of All N The Jeans, a homebred winning daughter of Corona Cartel who ran third in West Coast Hawk's 2010 Kindergarten Futurity (G1) at Los Alamitos.

Injeanius was winning for the fourth time in 18 races and increasing his bankroll to $46,040.

Fair Grounds
Sent to post as the 5-2 favorite in a field of nine 2-year-olds, Hes Bold As Corona won Friday’s 330-yard, $48,000 De Saix Stakes.

Hes Bold As Corona defeated JJ Jessa Dynasty by a head in :16.645. Guillermo Martinez trained and Rolando Cabrera rode the gray son of Coronas Leaving You for owner M and M Stables LLC.

Hes Bold As Corona was bred in Louisiana by Salvador Olmeda, and he is out of Shes Bold As Bold, a 10-year-old daughter of the Strawfly Special stallion Desirio purchased by Olmeda for $6,000 at the 2015 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City.

Hes Bold As Corona was shortening in distance off of his second-place finish in a 350-yard Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1) trial at Delta Downs on June 21. All told, the gelding has won three of his five outs -- including the March 30, $459,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) for state-breds at Louisiana Downs -- and the $30,000 winner’s share of the purse from his second career stakes victory pushed his earnings to $253,627.

Tac It Blood led at every call en route to a half-length victory in Saturday's $50,000 LQHBA Sale Juvenile Stakes (R) for state-bred 2-year-old colts and geldings.

Trained by Jose Espinosa for owner Party Tyme Racing, Tac It Blood covered 350 yards in :17.725. Guadalupe Lucio Jr. rode the gelded son of champion Apollitical Blood.

Tac It Blood was coming off of a was coming off of a half-length win in one of 10 LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1) trials on August 24. The gelding was bred by Thomas Glenn Fontenot, and he was a $72,000 buy at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale.

Tac It Blood has won four of seven races, and the $30,000 winner's share of the purse from his first stakes victory increased his earnings to $53,900.

Also on Saturday, Rogelio Marquez Jr.'s San Lorenzo Princess sprinted to a wire-to-wire, 1 1/4-length win in the 350-yard, $50,000 LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes (R) for Louisiana-bred juvenile fillies.

Trained by Jeremy Derozin, San Lorenzo Princess tripped the timer in :17.559. Martin Osuna rode the sorrel Apollitical Blood filly.

San Lorenzo Princess was bred by Darrell Williams, and she was a $40,000 purchase at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale. The filly is out of Princess Of Torts, a winning and stakes-placed 10-year-old Corona Cartel mare.

San Lorenzo Princess was winning for the third time in five outs, and the $30,000 winner's share of the purse from her first stakes score pushed her bankroll to $93,292. The filly's resume includes a second-place finish, a head behind winner RF Fast Dash N Train, in the May 24, $291,000 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.

Horseshoe Indianapolis
Apollitical Mission, a homebred son of the Freighttrain B stallion The Transmission racing for Phillip R. Harrison and the fastest qualifier, was a prompt even-money favorite in Thursday's $59,321 Leader of the Class Sale Futurity (R) for 2-year-olds from the QHRAI Speed Sale.

Prepped by Tim Eggleston and ridden by Rolando Pina, Apollitical Mission covered 350 yards in :17.926, and his margin of victory was a neck from Beach First. The brown gelding banked $32,956 from his first lifetime stakes win.

"He's always been a little late leaving, but once he gets going he's got a kick," said Pina. "When I switched sticks, he really took off."

Apollitical Mission was bred in Indiana by Harrison's father, the late Walter R. "Dick" Harrison, and he was coming off of a half-length victory in the second of two trials on August 26. The gelding is out of Apollitical Deb, a homebred winning daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess. His second dam, Precious Debutante, was a homebred stakes winning and multiple graded stakes placed daughter of Heza Fast Man.

“(Apollitical Deb) is actually the last foal from Precious Debutante,” said Harrison, a retired banker who took over the family's racing operation after the death of his father. "We lost her to colic soon after this horse’s mother was born.

"My dad had a knack for picking out the right stallion," he added. "I questioned him a little on The Transmission, but he was right. This horse has been a surprise. Dad  is probably looking down with a smirk.”

Raced exclusively in Indiana, Apollitical Mission has won two of his five outs and has banked $53,067.

"They talked about selling (Apollitical Mission), and I told them no, you need to keep him,” said Eggleston. “He’s shown promise from the very start. He’s one of those horses that has been under the radar, but he’s starting to shine. I think he will just get better and better.”

Prairie Meadows
Deutsch, a homebred 5-year-old One Fabulous Eagle gelding owned and trained by Pat Swan, won Friday’s $30,000 Prairie Dash Stakes.

Ridden by Stormy Smith, Deutsch went 300 yards in :15.612 while defeating odds-on favorite Dickey Bob by a nose. The brown gelding earned $16,200 from his second career stakes victory

Deutsch was bred in Oklahoma. Raced in four states, the gelding has won seven of 22 starts and has banked $130,817. His record includes a victory in the 2021 Valley Junction Juvenile Stakes at this track.

Sweetwater Downs
Two sets of trials for Wyoming-breds were run at this track on Saturday.

Gerald F. Kaul's Y O At A Glance set the fastest qualifying time to the September 28, $50,000-added Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Futurity (R). Ridden by Jarred Journet for trainer Jess Matt, the homebred Fiftyshadezofgrey gelding won the eighth of 10 300-yard trials by 2 3/4 lengths in :15.605 while scoring his third win in eight races and increasing his earnings to $16,846.

Y O At A Glance is out of Barely A Secret, a homebred winning Brindis Por Cayenne mare.

Also on Saturday, the field was set for the September 28 Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Maturity (R), and Diamond Dusting is the fastest qualifier to the $20,000-added final.

Ridden by Jesus Virgen for owner and trainer Rick Hillstead, Diamond Dusting won the second of three 400-yard trials by a nose in :20.095. The homebred 5-year-old son of the FDD Dynasty stallion Dustin Pro was winning for the eighth time in 30 starts and pushing his bankroll to $69,745.

Diamond Dusting's resume includes a nose victory in last year's Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Maturity.

Fastest qualifier Favorite Buddy BC broke sharply from post 2 and rolled to a 1 3/4-length win in Saturday's $85,150 Mike Lipp Memorial Wyoming Stallion Breeders' Futurity (R) for juveniles sired by participating stallions.

Trained by Sergio Canales for owner Ben L. McKinney, Favorite Buddy BC went 300 yards in :15.194  while posting a 107 speed index. Jesus Canales rode the homebred son of the Favorite Cartel stallion Flay.

Favorite Buddy BC was bred in Utah, and he was the fastest qualifier from seven trials contested on August 31. The brown colt has won five of his six starts, and the $34,391 winner's share of the purse from his second stakes victory pushed his earnings to $143,062.

Moon Em N Dash, a son of Brindis Por Cayenne racing for James Ferguson and Stephanie Ferguson and the second-fastest qualifier, won Saturday's 350-yard, $51,100 John Whipp Memorial Wyoming Stallion Breeders' Derby (R) for 3-year-olds sired by participating stallions.

Trained by Jess Matt, Moon Em N Dash defeated TM Lets Go Brandon by a neck in :17.663. Jarred Journet rode the sorrel gelding.

Moon Em N Dash was bred in Wyoming by Walter Larson. Raced in two states, including Montana, the gelding has won five of his 14 outs, and the $20,440 winner's share of the purse from his first stakes victory increased his bankroll to $45,528, of which $30,560 has been pocketed from seven starts this season.

Docs Blazin Gal on Sunday set the fastest qualifying time to the September 28, $30,000-added Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Derby (R) for state-bred sophomores.

Trained by Kylie Valenzuela for owner Pedro Mena, Docs Blazin Gal won the last of seven 350-yard trials by a half of a length in :17.625. Jesus Valenzuela rode the homebred daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Docs Best Card.

Docs Blazin Gal was earning her sixth win in nine outs and increasing her bankroll to $70,289, of which $56,733 has been earned from seven starts this season.
