The American Quarter Horse Foundation is proud to promote Nikki Silva as the new director of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. Silva, who has been on the Museum team since 2022, has spent the past year as associate director in training for the role. She is also celebrating her 25th year as an employee of the American Quarter Horse Association and Foundation.
Silva’s dedication to learning every aspect of the Museum’s operations, events, programming, outreach and financial matters has significantly propelled the Museum forward to success in her time with AQHF. In her new role, she will continue to lead the Museum team into the next era, including serving as the lead in oversight of the five-year renovation of the Museum.
“I’m blessed that AQHA has given me the opportunity to learn new skills and grow over time,” said Silva. “’Be OK With Being Uncomfortable” is my motto, because uncomfortable times are when we grow.”
Silva began working at AQHA in 1999 in the registration department. Over the years, she has served in various capacities including customer service, The American Quarter Horse Journal, administration and has several years of experience in a supervisory role. Her diverse knowledge of AQHA and AQHF is an asset to the team and to the public and membership she serves in her new role.
“Nikki brings exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills to AQHF and her role leading the museum which are invaluable to our growth,” said Christ Sitz, Chief Foundation Offficer.
