Trump My Record shines at Lone Star Park.

Cruz E. Nava's Trump My Record dominated his competition at Lone Star Park on Saturday, as the Apollitical Blood colt posted the fastest qualifying time to Texas' richest horse race, the October 19, $904,631 Texas Classic Futurity.

Ridden by Eddie Sanchez for trainer Jose Luis Sanchez III, Trump My Record won the first of 13 400-yard trials by a clear 2 1/4 lengths in :19.467. The colt was winning for the seventh time in nine starts and increasing his earnings to $388,591.

Trump My Record was bred in Texas by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches Lp, and he was coming off of a second-place finish in the October 5, 400-yard Dash For Cash Futurity G2) at Lone Star. The colt's resume includes victories in the March 20, 300-yard Harrah's Futurity G3) at Louisiana Downs, and the May 3, 330-yard Sam Houston Futurity (G2) at Sam Houston Race Park.

David Gutierrez's A Painted Dynasty posted the third-fastest qualifying time. Ridden by Jesse Levario for trainer Josue Ponce, the Oklahoma-bred son of champion Fdd Dynasty won the second heat by 1 1/4 lengths in :19.628.

A Painted Dynasty was bred by The Mixer Ranch. The multiple graded stakes placed colt has won four of eight outs and has banked $107,688.
