Behind every American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame plaque is more than just a name–it’s a story made possible, in part, by supporters like you.

Thanks to your commitment to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the American Quarter Horse, the Hall of Fame honors the horses and people who have shaped the very foundation of the breed and the Association. Induction into the Hall of Fame is about more than titles and accolades it reflects transformation, dedication and unwavering character.

Each year, your support helps open the door to recognizing trailblazers who’ve made a historically significant impact on the American Quarter Horse industry. For horses, that may mean excelling as a sire, dam or competitor, or bringing visibility to the breed on an international scale. For people, it’s about a lifetime of dedication to AQHA–through leadership, service and the kind of quiet influence that reshapes an entire industry.

Nominees must stand the test of time. Hall of Fame inductees are selected not only for their accomplishments, but for how they advanced the breed and elevated the industry. They are admired for their integrity, known for their service and remembered for the legacy they leave behind.

It all starts with one nomination. If there’s a horse whose conformation, versatility or competitive excellence stands out or a person whose passion, integrity and service have left a lasting mark, it’s time to tell their story. Research their impact, gather the details and then nominate them. Class of 2027 nominations open January 1, 2026.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame exists to honor the past and inspire the future. And someone you know might just belong there.
