Senor Frogs, a gelded son of Coronado Cartel trained by Lindolfo Diaz for owner Freddy E. Ibarra, is the fastest qualifier to the October 27, $117,150 Wild West Futurity at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Jesus Ayala and making his Los Alamitos debut, Senor Frogs on Sunday won the second of five 350-yard trials by three-quarters of a length in :17.751. The gelding was winning for the fourth time in six starts and increasing his earnings to $27,258.

Senor Frogs was bred in Oregon by Michael and Shannon McKay. The gelding is out of Nellie Soprano, a homebred winning daughter of Mr Eye Opener.
