For the first time in history, AQHYA has three new director postitions open.
For the first time, three positions are open for American Quarter Horse Youth Association members from international affiliates to become AQHYA directors this year. David Avery, AQHA director of international affairs, shared the news with representatives from 16 of AQHA’s 20 European affiliates during the European Summit January 24-25 in Frankfurt, Germany.
International members will be able to run for their offices and be elected during this year’s Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar, which will be held in conjunction with the American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup July 3-13 in College Station, Texas.
The 2014 Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar is July 7-10 in College Station, Texas. YES welcomes AQHYA members ages 10 to 18 to experience a three-day, fun-packed event that offers valuable leadership skills, inspiring speakers and tons of fun. Registration for YES ends April 30.

The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup is an international event that is held every two years and is hosted by a different country each time. AQHYA members from around the world will flock to College Station, Texas for an international showdown July 3-13 in the form of the 2014 American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup. Throughout the competition, competitors from each country will ride for gold medals in cutting, reining, horsemanship, western pleasure, trail, western riding, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle and showmanship.
