JaNeil Anderson has had the privilege of living and working on various cattle ranches in the Southwest, gaining firsthand experience with the lifestyle of the American cowboy/cowgirl and rancher. Her incredible artistic talents and ability to capture the emotion of the moment make her art unique and refreshing.
JaNeil earned a certificate in basic art studies from Art Instruction Schools, Minneapolis and has studied with James Reynolds and R.S. Riddick.
At the outset of her career, JaNeil worked in pencil, then moved to pastels and now works in oils. She is “driven to the qualities that make an individual unique. Gestures that tell their own story. I strive to capture power of emotion in my paintings and hopefully each viewer will see a story of their own. I am driven to meet the challenge to capture the likeness of the person or animal and the beauty in both.”
JaNeil and her husband Walt reside on their third generation cattle ranch along the banks of the Gila River in southwest New Mexico.
