AQHA history is explored on “Red Steagall Is Somewhere West of Wall Street” debut on RFD-TV.
The history of the American Quarter Horse and the formation of the American Quarter Horse Association are featured through an interview with AQHA Executive Vice President, Don Treadway Jr., in the first episode of “Red Steagall Is Somewhere West of Wall Street” set for Monday, January 6, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern on RFD-TV.
Steagall’s new show focuses on the Western lifestyle and includes visits to historical ranches including Zoetis-AQHA Best Remuda award winners, the Four Sixes Ranch, Pitchfork Land and Cattle Co., Waggoner Ranch and others.
Raised in the cow country of the Texas Panhandle with a passion for the western lifestyle, Steagall competed in rodeos as a youth and learned to play the guitar and mandolin. After college, he traveled to California to share western traditions and values with the rest of the world through songs, poems, books, television and movies.
“Red Steagall Is Somewhere West of Wall Street” also can be seen on FamilyNet Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. Eastern and on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.
