Arapahoe Park

Arapahoe Park track announcer Jonathan Horowitz will host this season’s first of three scheduled “Wagering Do’s and Donut’s” classes on Saturday, June 16, at the Aurora, Colorado track.

The class about horse racing history and wagering will also feature free donuts, coffee and programs and take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Executive Lounge on the second floor. “Wagering Do’s and Donut’s” are also scheduled at the racetrack for Saturday, July 7, and Saturday, July 28.

Horowitz, in his second season at Arapahoe Park, is the youngest person ever to announce a horse race in the United States (age 14 at Los Alamitos Race Course) and has called at 19 racetracks in the United States and Great Britain.  In addition to announcing, he has authored The ONE and ONLY: A Sports Quiz Deck of Definitive Games, Teams, Players, and Events published by Pomegranate Publishers in 2012.
