The 10th annual Haras Prata & Guests Speed Auction will be held Saturday, April 6, at the Jockey Club de Sorocaba in Sorocaba, San Paulo, Brazil. Over the past three years the auction has established itself as one of the largest for Quarter Horses in Brazil.

The sale of yearling Quarter Horses will begin at 5 p.m. (BRT).

The annual Speed Auction obtained the highest sale average in the country in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2011 the sale set a Brazilian record average Quarter Horse price of R$109,400 and grossed more than R$6,900,000.

The 2013 sale will include consignments by Erico Braga's Haras Prata and 15 additional guests consignors. Fifty Quarter Horse yearlings of the best strains of Brazilian and U.S. blood will be offered from such stallions as Granite Lake, PYC Paint Your Wagon, Dean Miracle, Separatist, SC Chiseled in Stone, Chicks Regard, Corona For Me, Royal Quick Dash, Mighty Corona and more.

In addition to the Speed Auction, one of the biggest races of the turf Brasileiro, the Brazilian GP Futurity and final of the GP Super Sprint will held over the weekend at the Jockey Club de Sorocaba.
