LQHBA Sale Opens Friday

LQHBA Yearling Sale kicks off Friday in Kinder, Louisiana.

The LQHBA will offer 505 yearlings on Friday and Saturday (August 3 and 4) during their 36th annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder.

All yearlings passing through the sales ring are nominated to the $1 million-estimated LQHBA Breeders' Futurity in 2013. As Louisiana-breds they are also eligible to run at more than $21 million in purse money with 148 guaranteed Quarter Horse race dates per year.

The annual sale, conducted in the sales pavilion at the Coushatta Casino Resort, will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. each day. Hips 1 thru 252 are scheduled for Friday and Hip 253 thru 505 will pass through the ring on Saturday.

All yearlings selling are sired by Louisiana stallions, which are among the industry leaders each year and currently hold three spots on the Top Ten Sires by Money Earned in 2012.
