Night School to Feature All American Races

Online education program to cover marquee races at Ruidoso Downs.

Night School

The Grade 1, $2.6 million All American Futurity and the Grade 1, $2.8 million All American Derby will be the focus of Night School this Tuesday from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Night School, now in its third year, is horse racing’s primary fan education program with expert commentary along with fan questions and educational answers. There is also video, live streaming audio podcasts and interactive chat. Go to

Fans and handicappers of all levels benefit from the information received on Night School.

Joining Jeremy Plonk to examine the All American Futurity and the All American Derby from every angle are Q-Racing Aces Martha Claussen and Denis Blake along with Ruidoso Downs Media Relations director Ty Wyant.

The All American Futurity’s purse is an all-time record and the largest purse for any 2-year-old race in North America.

The All American Derby’s purse is also at a record high and will be the all-time richest Quarter Horse race.

The All American Derby runs on Sunday, September 1, and the All American Futurity follows on Labor Day, closing day of the summer season at Ruidoso Downs.
