All eyes will be on Ruidoso Downs this weekend for Sunday’s All American Derby (G1) and Monday’s All American Futurity (G1), and pollsters in the latest AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Top-10 rankings are waiting to see the results. There were no changes in either poll this week for the 2-year-olds or the 3-year-olds and older division.

PJ Chick In Black not only headlines the All American Futurity as the race’s fastest qualifier, but the unbeaten filly remains No. 1 atop this week’s national rankings, as well. The $2.4 million final on Monday will be the season’s tell-tale juvenile race to date, matching three of the nation’s top four ranked runners. No. 2 One Dashing Eagle and No. 4 BP Cartels Alibi also are in Monday’s lucrative final.

As for the older horses, reigning world champion Cold Cash 123 remains a unanimous No. 1 this week. But No. 3-ranked Ochoa, bidding to become the richest money-earner in AQHA history as the favorite in Sunday’s All American Derby, could make a strong case for the top with another ace performance.
