The American Quarter Horses will get into the mood for Extreme Racing Sunday on April 28 at Remington Park, competing in 11 races at 11 different distances. This will be a first at Remington Park and believed to be one of the few times such a program has been carded in AQHA racing history.

Sunday’s 11 race card will begin with an 870-yard event around the turn and end with a 110-yard blast from the starting gate to the finish. The turn race will last around 46-seconds with the 110-yard dash about 6 seconds in duration. In between the long and the short of Sunday racing will be events at distances of 660 yards, 550 yards, 440 yards, 400 yards, 350 yards, 330 yards, 300 yards 250 yards and 220 yards.

The 11-race program nearly filled to the maximum for horse talent with only one race drawing fewer than the allowable starting gate capacity. In all, 107 horses have entered the Extreme Racing card on Sunday which begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Remington Park American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed Season continues Thursday thru Sunday, April 25-28. The first race Thursday, Friday and Saturday is at 6 p.m. with Sunday racing at 1:30 p.m. All times Central.
