Chin Lee’s Sandys Jesse comes back after a game win as the favorite in the $85,000 Sunburst Stakes to head a field of fillies and mares racing 400 yards in the $65,000 Four Corners Senora Stakes on Sunday at SunRay Park.

Sandys Jesse (Jesse James Jr-Sandys Fame by Dash Ta Fame) is in peak stakes form with two stakes wins and a third-place run in the Mesilla Valley Speed Handicap (RG2) in her latest three efforts. She raced to a 17-1 upset win in the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association Stakes (RG2) at Sunland Park before the Mesilla Valley.

From 11 career starts, all against state-breds, Sandys Jesse has reached the winner’s circle five times with two seconds and a pair of thirds.

Alonso and Sylvia Aranda’s WDC Wendys Wine (Woodbridge-Signs Of Speeding by Vital Sign) finds class relief after finishing third behind Feature Mr Who in the Bank of America Sunland Championship Challenge (G2) on April 7. The Isidro Rodriguez-trained mare won three-straight races before the Bank of America Sunland Park Challenge.

Dennis Mann’s Gonna Dash (Gonna Ro Sham Bo-Specially Dashing by Special Show) makes her stakes debut after a quick allowance win at Sunland Park. She won the $28,700 conditioned allowance race by a half length, with a :17.13 time for 350 yards with a crosswind.
