2011 Select World
by Christine HamiltonThe American Quarter Horse Journal
Good I Will Be and Rita Crundwell of Dixon, Illinois, have already had a busy 2011 Adequan Select World Championship Show. Rita showed the 2004 bay stallion in horsemanship August 29, making the finals out of 66 entries.
On September 1, the stallion made his appearance in performance halter stallions – and walked out with the Select world championship – his first in Amarillo, though not his first title.
Since the stallion made his first AQHA World Championship Show appearance in 2006, finishing sixth in the 2-year-old snaffle bit western pleasure finals, he has earned a slew of awards and titles in performance events and performance halter.
In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Rita led him to the amateur world championships in performance halter stallions. He has also earned AQHA year-end high-point awards in amateur performance halter, open western riding and open hunter under saddle – and that’s the short list. He has more than $29,000 in National Snaffle Bit Association earnings under his belt.
He stands at Rita’s Meri-J Ranch in Beloit, Wisconsin.
