2011 Select World

Sarah Smith was barely a foot out of the show ring before she had newly crowned yearling geldings world champion Believe U Me sold.
“He’s so good to show and so much fun,” Sarah says. “He’s just a fabulous gelding. We just sold him after he came out of the pen to Steve Headley. They’re awfully excited also. I hope they get a lot more trophies with him.”
Believe U Me is a 2010 sorrel gelding owned and trained by Sarah’s son, AQHA Professional Horseman Jason Smith of Whitesboro, Texas.
“My son always has my horses prepared excellently,” she says. “I couldn’t do it without him!”
This is Sarah’s seventh Adequan Select World Show, and she’s earned six trophies.
“I hadn’t shown for a long, long time when they first came up with Select World,” she explains.
The new division gave her the encouragement to start showing again. Now her goal each year is to qualify for the Select.
Now, thanks to Steve’s purchase, she’s excited about new opportunities – shopping for a new horse to qualify with.
Sarah works for her sister’s company, Logan’s Western Supply.
