2013 Select World

Her first Adequan Select World Championship Show brought mixed emotions. Anastasia Kull of Pekin, Illinois, was showing yearling bay mare Infiniti FX, a daughter of her cherished stallion, De Renzo, who died in December during colic surgery.
“This is bittersweet for us,” "Stacie" told the Journal on August 28, as she and “Infinity” took the yearling mares world championship. “This is the first baby our Kull Ranch has fitted up and brought to a world show.”
But she was thrilled with the armful of prizes and the gold trophy she received as world champion.
“I was hoping for maybe top five!” she said. “Never in my wildest dreams.”
Infinity is owned and bred by Kull Ranch Inc., of Pilot Point, Texas. Her sire, De Renzo, won the yearling stallions open world championship in 2007. The Kulls have several of his babies.
“She’s a sweet little filly,” Stacie said. “I’ve really enjoyed showing her. She’s very easy to show. She sets up and stands still, thank goodness..”
Stacie said she’s glad to be back at horse shows after a long break.
“We’ve had horses for a long time, but I haven’t been in the show pen in a long time,” she said. “This year, we’ve been showing a few of De Renzo’s babies around the country. It’s been good to get back into it.”
Here to enjoy her first Adequan Select World with her is her husband, Terry,
“This was on my bucket list, and way to start!,” she laughed. “I wanted to come and experience it. I’ve heard so many great things about the Select World. Everybody’s so nice. It’s a friendly atmosphere. It’s been a lot of fun.”
Infinity spends much of her time with trainer Doug Landon of Clark, Missouri.
