The tentative schedule for the American Quarter Horse Association’s 2013 Adequan Select World Championship Show is now available online.

The Adequan Select World, August 23-31, at the Amarillo National Center in Amarillo, features the world’s top amateur riders, age 50 and over, and their American Quarter Horses.

Free Ride the Rail/Ride the Pattern clinics will be taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen during this year’s Adequan Select World. These clinics are sponsored by Nutrena. Disciplines featured at the clinics include showmanship, western pleasure, trail, horsemanship and hunter under saddle. In addition to Ride the Rail/Ride the Pattern clinics, exhibitors, friends and family are invited to attend the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum party and a barn party held during the event.

Stay tuned to for more details on the clinics and parties as they are confirmed.

Last year, AQHA and the City of Amarillo agreed to keep the Adequan Select World in Amarillo for another three years. With the new contract, the city and the fairgrounds continue to make improvements to riding areas and stalls to ensure they meet the needs of this world class event and AQHA’s Select exhibitors. In addition to the vast array of facility improvements made last year, competitors will also find additional riding room. The arena south of the Bill Cody Arena has expanded to a 110-by-250-foot outdoor covered arena. The new arena’s cover is taller than the Terry Grant Arena and will be lighted for exhibitors’ convenience.

The qualifying period for the 2013 Adequan Select World wraps up on May 31. To view the list of qualifiers to date for the Adequan Select World, view the Competitors Resources section of Click here to view the points necessary to be an Adequan Select World national qualifier.
