Meet the 2018 America's Horse In Art artist.

Ritch Gaiti is nationally recognized for his moving oil paintings that capturing the spirit, drive and emotion of horses and the American West. His paintings are about change, evolution and extinction—something emerges, something disappears. Each represents the spirit of a time long gone.

Ritch paints in oils, often using a warm palette and texture to add another dimension and give the effect of the passage of time. 

"Somewhere deep inside the image of the horse, lies the essence of the horse; that is what I’m after,” says Ritch.             

His work has been featured on the cover of Horses in Art, as well as Elite Equestrian, Sidelines, Southwest Art and Art of the West. He has exhibited in corporate venues and museums across the country.

“Horses embody beauty, grace, strength, but, most of all, freedom. Nothing compares to the exciting energy of horses running free on the open range,” says Ritch.

He is currently exhibiting his works in galleries in Whitefish, Montana; Fort Collins, Colorado; Alpharetta, Georgia; and Delray Beach, Florida. His entire portfolio may be viewed on Ritch has written several novels; he also enjoys tennis, skiing and is a private pilot.
