Putting a determined nose on the line when it counted, Ivory Macho Man defeated Effortless Favorite to win the $366,030 Black Gold Futurity Championship (G3) at Will Rogers Downs on November 11.
Bred and raced by Rito Sosa, Ivory Macho Man adds to an impressive record of six wins and one second from seven career starts. He has earned $355,002 in his career.
Saddled by Jose Gamez and ridden by Bryan Candanosa, Ivory Macho Man battled for every inch of his victory in the 400 yard race, defeating his rival by a nose and stopping the clock in :19.852.
Favorite Jess A Good Angel was third, followed by Famous N Relentless, Fast Draw, Uncle Redheads, Relentless Wine, Ur Favorite Tio, Racket Ridge and Tux Hard Shop.
The sorrel gelding is fresh off a victory in the Dash For Cash Futurity (G2).
Sire KJ Mucho Macho Man is in only his second year and has already sired the likes of KJ Bad Moon Rising ($1,325,279). Dam Alondra Grace is a daughter of Ivory James.
