Train B Taka, a California-bred son of Freighttrain B and the fastest qualifier, will seek his fourth consecutive win in Saturday's 400-yard, $173,350 Los Alamitos Winter Derby (G1) at Los Alamitos Racecourse.

Train B Taka has won all three of his starts in California, including the December 28 Holiday Stakes and the first of three Winter Derby trials on January 25. Marc Jungers trains the gray gelding for Cheryl Stokes, Armando Arreola, and the Tungsten Racing Partnership.

Train B Taka drew post 7 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo.

Other contenders include Brown Coffeee, a gelded son of Good Reason SA trained by Kristen Watanabe for owners Monte Cluck, Katsy Cluck, and Ross Roark. The second-fastest Winter Derby qualifier, Brown Coffeee ended his juvenile campaign with a second-place finish as the fastest qualifier in California's richest horse race, the December 15, $1,805,950 Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1).

Brown Coffeee drew post 10 and will be ridden by Jose Nicasio.
