Rayne Knight's Sheza Fast Blood, a daughter of Apollitical Blood and the fastest qualifier, earned her first stakes win in Saturday's Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred 2-year-old fillies at Delta Downs.

Prepped by Michael Zingelmann and sent to post as the 8-5 favorite in the field of nine, Sheza Fast Blood covered 330 yards in :16.533, and her margin of victory was a clear two lengths from MP Sixty Silky. Gilbert Ortiz rode the bay filly, who earned a 95 speed index and banked the $159,491 winner's share of the $318,983 purse.

Sheza Fast Blood was bred by Nash Development LLC, and she was purchased by Knight for $15,500 at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale. The filly is out of MCM Sheza Fast Cutie, a winning daughter of Heza Fast Dash who ran second in the '09 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2).

Sheza Fast Blood has won two of three races and has earned $169,151.

Jess Dash Fast, KP Prospect, LRH Voodoo Runner, RDD Runaway Jacquie, JRS Carters Shadow, Angel Britt, and My Liquid Love completed the order of finish.
