Francisco J. Garza's Jess Telling Beau is the fastest qualifier to the May 17, $194,020 Old South Futurity at Delta Downs.
On Saturday, Jess Telling Beau broke her maiden with a three-quarter length victory in the fifth of 10 trials, as the daughter of the Favorite Cartel stallion Tell Cartel went 330 yards in :16.791 while earning her first win in two starts and increasing her earnings to $3,890. Nestor Duran rode the homebred filly for trainer Patrick Clemons.
Jess Telling Beau was bred in Texas. The filly is out of Jess Jumpn Beau, a homebred winning and stakes placed daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess. Her second dam, the homebred Jumpn Chic mare Jumpn Beau Chick, won the 2012 TQHA Sires' Cup Derby (RG3) at Retama Park.
