SHELLY ZEINERT & RED ROAN WITTENBERG, WISCONSIN
Since I was 5, I’ve been in the saddle, riding horses of all colors and breeds. I had the honor of buying and training my first horse, Reba, 26 years ago, and have since continued owning four others. I’ve mostly done trail riding all over Wisconsin, southern Illinois, Wyoming, and Missouri, and rode parades, but also tried team penning and sorting. In 2013, I joined the Rodeo City Riders Drill Team to carry Old Glory in a patriotic choreographed routine at rodeos in Wisconsin and Michigan’s UP. I currently own Mama Red and Hank and continue to trail ride and look forward to giving Cowboy Mounted Shooting a try in 2026. Thank you for this award, AQHA! |
