The AQHA Horseback Riding Program rewards AQHA and AQHYA members for simply working with their horses.

Participants must maintain an individual AQHA or AQHYA membership. Membership provides a variety of benefits, from exclusive partner discounts to programs, competitions and events and access to The American Quarter Horse Journal magazine.

Once enrolled in the Horseback Riding Program, log and submit hours regularly. The cost to enroll is $35 per horse.

As a Horseback Riding Program member, each time you reach an achievement threshold, you will receive prizes and recognition for you and your equine partner. There are rewards in both the Quarter Horse and All Breeds divisions.

You can log your hours in full hour and half hour increments.

Eligible hours include any time spent with your horse, regardless of what activity you’re doing – pleasure riding, trail riding, practicing for your next show, or competing. You can also earn hours pleasure driving your horse or doing ground activities that include training, showing or exercising. Hours spent grooming, feeding or health maintenance do not count toward hours logged.
