View the 2019 Adequan® Select World qualifying points.
2019 Events that cross over the end qualifying date -- Keep in mind AQHA-approved events which end prior to or on May 31, 2019, will count toward the 2019 Adequan® Select World. If an event crosses over the end qualifying date and has a show end date of June 1, 2019 (or later) - that show's points will count toward the 2020 Adequan® Select World. For example: A show's dates are recorded with AQHA as May 30 - 31, 2019, the points will count toward the 2019 show; however, if the dates are recorded as May 31 - June 1, 2019 (or later) the points will count toward the 2020 show.
2019 Performance Halter
Any horse to be shown in performance halter at the 2019 Adequan® Select World must have earned a performance ROM during the qualifying period (June 1, 2018 thru May 31, 2019), or if earned prior to the qualifying period, must have earned at least 10 riding points during the qualifying period. These points can be in open, amateur or youth classes and they can add up to make the ten points, but ABSOLUTELY NO horse can compete in a performance halter class without having earned the performance ROM or the ten riding points during the qualifying period. Remember that showmanship points DO NOT count, nor do Level 1 amateur or youth points or points earned at Introductory shows. However, Level 1 (Green) points earned in the Open Division will count. This rule also applies to any state invitee.
Select halter and performance halter competitors can earn an invitation to the 2019 Adequan® Select World by competing in 10 shows in a halter or performance halter class. Shows will be counted by show numbers on a one-horse/one-exhibitor basis.
2019 State Invites: For the 2019 Adequan® Select World, the amateur/horse combination will be required to reach at least half the points set as the minimum to qualify in order to be invited as an affiliate/state invitee in each particular class (for example: if the minimum number of points set to qualify for Select Amateur Aged Mares is 9.5, the invitee must have reached at least 4.5 points in order to be invited - note that if a class requires points that include .5 point, AQHA will round down and require half of THAT number). This program is operated by AQHA, not the affiliate, and exhibitors are invited based on the state in which they reside, not where they show. Once the qualifiers are run (around June 20th), AQHA will run the list of those that were top in their class but didn't qualify. Those invitations will be sent out around July 1. If the first place horse/exhibitor is tied, all of those ties for first will be invited. AQHA will not go below the first place points even if the first place duo will not be attending. For performance halter classes, the exhibitor/horse must follow the same rule as described above in 2019 Performance Halter regarding the riding points required.
