AQHA International Educational Marketplace

Formerly known as AQHA International Horsemanship Camps, this program provides as many educational opportunities to as many affiliates and member groups as possible.

The program formerly known as AQHA International Horsemanship Camps, which is one of the longest running AQHA International programs, is rebranded as the AQHA International Educational Marketplace. This updated program makes funding more accessible to international affiliates and members to provide as many educational opportunities as possible via a model that is flexible enough to meet the needs of various countries and membership regions.

The AQHA International Education Marketplace will make existing educational program funds available to educational seminar hosts via grant application. Grants range from $2,500 - $5,000 per seminar. With that funding, seminar hosts will select an AQHA Professional Horseman/Horsewoman, trainer, judge, university group, or other industry professional from the United States to implement the seminar. Seminar hosts will have the opportunity to tailor the content of the seminar based on participant level skill, type of seminar (‘hands-on’ vs. lecture) and desired topics.

Even amid a global pandemic, Educational Marketplace clinics in Fiscal Year 2020 were very successful. AQHA supported 20 Educational Marketplace clinics, allowing for 26 U.S.-based clinicians to develop and publish virtual clinics through an online learning platform. Countries that experienced the benefit of this grant in 2020 included Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Due to the continued uncertainty related to international travel and hosting of group activities caused by coronavirus (COVID-19), all educational marketplace clinics will continue to take place virtually, until communicated otherwise, through October 2021. AQHA International is working with international affiliates to bring educational clinics to the comfort of member’s own homes. If you are interested in learning more about a clinic that will be organized by the affiliate in your country, please visit the AQHA International Educational Marketplace Listings page.

Fiscal Year 2021 applications for Educational Marketplace funding will be accepted in three rounds. Round 1: February 19, 2021 – March 31, 2021; Round 2: April 1, 2020 – May 31, 2020; Round 3: June 1, 2021 – July 31, 2021.  When applying, please submit a grant application to
