Hesa Party Wagon, a multiple stakes winner during the Ruidoso Downs summer meet, is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for Sunday's 350-yard, $75,000 James Isaac Hobbs Stakes (G2) at Zia Park.

A 4-year-old son of Hes Relentless owned and trained by Juan Manuel Baeza, Hesa Party Wagon is coming off of a seventh-place finish, three lengths behind winner and reigning world champion Danjer, in the September 25, 440-yard Albuquerque Fall Championship (G1) at Albuquerque Downs. The gelding won two 350-yard stakes during the Ruidoso season: the May 30, $25,000 John Andreini Memorial Stakes, and the September 4, $75,000 Labor Day Weekend 350 Stakes.

Hesa Party Wagon drew post 5 and will be ridden by Christian Ramos.

Sergio Castillo's Jessapolliticalgirl, a 5-year-old daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess, will be shortening in distance off of her third-place finish, 1 1/4 lengths behind Danjer, in the Albuquerque Fall Championship. Jose Ignacio DeHerrera trains the mare.

Jessapolliticalgirl drew post 7 and will be ridden by Hector Aldrete.

Trainer Fred Danley will send out Valiant Stars, a 4-year-old Valiant Hero mare who won all three of her outs at Ruidoso Downs, including the 400-yard, $36,000 Q-Racing Video Ruidoso Distaff Challenge Stakes on August 27. Valiant Stars races for J & SM Inc. of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Stone Chase Stables LLC.
