2022 Youth Art Show: Registration

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum’s annual Youth Art Show is open to artists ages 11-18 who create artwork that captures the spirit of the American Quarter Horse.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum’s annual Youth Art Show is an opportunity for young artists to create artwork featuring the American Quarter Horse, compete to win cash prizes and have their artwork on display in the museum’s gallery.

The competition is open to young artists ages 11-18 years old. The artwork should capture the spirit of the American Quarter Horse and celebrate the unique love of horses. In addition to creating artwork, the students will also write an essay explaining what inspired their art piece.

All young artists must register online by November 1, 2022. Artwork must be submitted to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum no later than November 15.

Age Categories:

  • Ages    11-12  
  • Ages    13-14  
  • Ages    15-16  
  • Ages    17-18  

Award Categories for each age bracket:

  • 1st place - ribbon plus $200 gift card
  • 2nd place - ribbon plus $150 gift card
  • 3rd place - ribbon plus $100 gift card
  • (Honorable mention - ribbon)

Registration Deadline: November 1, 2022

Youth Art Show Reception

Participating youth, their families and teachers are invited to join us for an evening reception celebrating the winners of each age category outlined above at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8. You won’t want to miss the exciting announcements, refreshments and free admission to the Museum that evening.
