RACE RECORD: American Hussle broke his maiden in the All American Derby trials and qualified to his first final by winning Trial 11 by 2 ¾ lengths, despite breaking in badly at the start.

BREEDER: Tyler Graham is also a breeding partner on All American Futurity qualifier Dynasty Dinamo. For American Hussle, he partnered with Stan Stigman’s NAMGIS Quarter Horses. They have bred three starters, with two winners and the earners of more than $17,000. 

OWNER: Rogelio Marquez Jr.’s horses have earned more than $2.6 million and include the likes of Dashnunder Afullmoon ($711,951), San Lorenzo Corona ($254,889) and Political Attraction ($199,963). 

TRAINER: Marcos Carrizales saddled his first official starter in 2018 and has 19 wins from 106 career starts, with earnings of $410,971, including Mi Amor Secreto ($132,659). He also trains All American Futurity qualifier Mr Jess Jenkins. 

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: James A. Flores has ridden 3,188 races and seen his mounts earn more than $10.5 million since 2011. Among his top runners is Political Attraction, La Vencedora, Coronas First Diva, Gold Digging Ashley, Dicecapades and EC Revenge.

PEDIGREE: The sire of two All American Derby qualifiers, Apollitical Jess is also the sire of Flying Cowboy 123.

The 12-year-old son of Mr Jess Perry earned more than $1.3 million on the racetrack and has to date sired the earners of more than $27.7 million. The stallion stands at James Ranch in Wayne, Oklahoma.

Charming Cartel is a winning daughter of champion Miss Kips Streakin. Her oldest foals are 2016s.
