Mr Dillard, a sorrel son of Hes Relentless and the third-fastest qualifier, sprinted to a wire-to-wire, half-length victory in Sunday's $252,876 Black Gold 350 Futurity Championship at Will Rogers Downs.

Ridden by Cody Smith, Mr Dillard covered 350 yards in :17.555. Sam Howard prepped the homebred gelding for owner L Hendrix Horses LLC.

Mr Dillard was bred in Oklahoma. He is out of Quions, a winning 6-year-old daughter of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Spit Curl Jess. Mr Dillard traces back to his third dam, Fast Prize Dash, a daughter of Heza Fast Man who won the 2002 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park.

Mr Dillard has won both of his outs and has banked $103,880.

Hot Pyc Chic ran second and was followed by Relentless Doll, Uncle Eds Idea, Wagons Dash, Cajun King, Lakshmi J, Lota Shakin Goin On, BP Apollitical South, and Shaunda Got A Prize.
