Come Forth wins shake for Governor's Cup Futurity slot.

Kolleen Ledgerwood’s  Come Forth, a gelding by Foose and out of Now You Comeat Noon, won the shake over La Feliz Montaña LLC’s Up And Coming to earn the 10th and final qualifying spot to the $365,000 Governor’s Cup Futurity to be held at 350 yards on July 27.

Come Forth and Up And Coming posted equal times of :17.855 in their respective trials on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

The shake was held on Sunday afternoon at Los Alamitos.

Trained by Roberto Dominguez, Come Forth will now look to break his maiden in the Governor’s Cup final. He’s finished second twice in three career starts.

The complete list of finalists for the Governor's Cup Futurity are: Pitbull (:17.671), Runforyourlife (:17.684), Cattail Cove (:17.702), A Mere Felix (:17.796), Up For Speed (:17.809), Max My Bullets (:17.820), Bono Is Good (:17.821), Lebowski (:17.823), Cartel Jess Rockin (:17.853) and Come Forth (:17.855).

Eight out of the 10 qualifiers to the Governor’s Cup Futurity were sired by Favorite Cartel. Four of the horses were bred by Dr. Steve Burns; three of the remaining qualifiers were bred by Dr. Ed Allred.

Allred also bred Up And Coming, who lost the shake.
