Rogelio Marquez Jr.'s Tempted Seis, a bay daughter of champion Tempting Dash and the eighth-fastest qualifier, earned her first stakes victory in Saturday's $188,700 Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows at Tulsa.
Ridden by Mario Delgado and racing into a reported 8-mph head wind, Tempted Seis went 350 yards in :17.837 while defeating ninth-fastest qualifier Relentless Jessie by a head. R.L. "Rick" Robinson saddled the Montana-bred filly.
Tempted Seis was bred by Copper Spring Ranch LLC. The filly has won two of three starts, all at Fair Meadows, and she has earned $76,257. Tempted Seis is out of Senorita Seis, a winning and multiple stakes placed daughter of 2001 champion 2-year-old colt Tres Seis.
Three Blue Coronas finished third, a neck behind Relentless Jessie, and was followed officially by Eye Cartel and Rockcreek Blues (who finished in a dead heat for fifth), Jess A Lota, Beaus Blood, Tres Southern Prize, and Ms Fast Prize Doll. Fastest qualifier Walkin In Fashion was scratched.
