The AQHA Boehringer Ingelheim Professional Horsemen Academy is an action-packed event for equine industry professionals to learn game-changing business tips on financial success, effective customer communications, conflict resolution, marketing strategies and much more! It is our goal to equip professionals from all facets of the industry with the knowledge, skills and mindset to thrive and succeed in their business.

The in-person workshop will be held in Las Vegas at South Point Hotel & Casino from January 13-15, 2026.


THE EVENT PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • An option of 2 or 3 hotel nights at South Point Hotel & Casino
  • 2.5 days of educational courses
  • Tickets to the welcome reception and two social hours
  • 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches

Included will be collaborative learning with expert instructors, followed by six months of online interactive learning, gamification, and live Q&A’s. This will be a great opportunity to learn and network with your fellow professionals. While this is an excellent opportunity for rising professionals, we also highly urge established professionals to join us! The value of the event package as a whole exceeds $1,000.

Two levels of courses will be offered in 2026, one for first-time attendees, and the other for the 2024 and 2025 cohorts. The class of 2025 was composed of professionals from 31 states and 5 countries across 3 continents. The diverse class included university students, instructors, real estate agents, lawyers, veterinarians, and trainers. With participants ranging in age from19 to 78, a 60-year span of insight, experience, and perspective.



Frequently Asked Questions

Tickets are available if you have a guest who does not wish to attend the Academy sessions but would like to attend the reception and/or both social hours. Tickets may be purchased on the registration form or at the event.

International industry professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend. The courses will be presented in American English. If you have any questions or concerns about language barriers, travel restrictions or other issues please contact prohorsemen@aqha.org.

Do I need to book my hotel room? No, AQHA will book your room directly with the hotel. Either two or three nights are included with your registration fee, depending on what you select when registering. If you plan to stay additional nights, you will be responsible for covering those costs. You’ll provide your check-in and check-out dates on the registration form. If you want to pay for the extra nights ahead of time, you may contact the hotel, but only after AQHA has confirmed your reservation is secured. If you contact the hotel before receiving this confirmation, they will require a credit card for the full stay, including the nights AQHA is paying for. Once you receive confirmation from AQHA, you may call the hotel to pay for any extra nights, or you can pay at check-in. 

Is there an age requirement? The event is open to industry professionals of all ages, however, please note you must be 21 or older to reserve the hotel room.

What constitutes joint attendance? If you are a current AQHA Pro Horseman and registered to attend the Academy, your guest may pay the discounted AQHA Pro Horsemen registration rate. 

Who is considered an industry professional? Equine industry professionals include, but are not limited to: trainers, coaches, judges, breeders, ranchers, jockeys, farriers, riding instructors, sales agents, veterinarians, etc. Sessions are geared towards all equine industry professionals rather than one particular type of professional.

To be eligible to receive the benefits of either the 2- or 3-night event package, participants must attend all sessions of the Academy. In cases of no show or partial attendance, AQHA will not cover hotel room fees and/or hotel cancellation fees and the participant will be fully responsible for these charges. The Academy registration fee is refundable upon request through 12/1/2025, minus the credit card transaction fee and a $25 non-refundable processing fee.
