How AQHA is Governed

AQHA members can change the course of the Association.

AQHA Governance

AQHA is governed by a five-member volunteer AQHA Executive Committee. The executive committee is voted in each year at the AQHA Convention.

AQHA Convention

All AQHA members are welcome to attend the annual AQHA Convention, and most committee meetings are open to the public and allow time for member comments. Visit www.aqha.com/convention to learn more about the annual event. And, mark your calendar for December 31 – that’s the deadline every year for rule-change proposal submissions. To learn more about how rules are made and changed at AQHA, watch this video.

New directors are also elected at convention. View the list of individuals applying to be on the AQHA Board of Directors. If you have any comments or concerns regarding the applicants, email sspears@aqha.org by Friday, February 26.
