Apollitical Jess yearling brings $700,000 bid to top sale.

A yearling full brother to world champion Empressum topped this year's Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, which was held October 30-November 1 at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City.

Empressum Twopoint O is by Apollitical Jess and out of Crazy Down Corona, and brought a $700,000 bid by the Empressum Twopoint O Partners. The horse was consigned by 13 Racing LLC as agent for Steve Holt and Jeff Jones. 

The second-highest bid was for champion Mystic Paint, who brought $300,000 from Jorge Haddad. The PYC Paint Your Wagon stallion out of Jess So Sixy was consigned by Solo Select. 

In total, 503 head were sold for $8,790,400 for an average of $17,476. 

Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said, “We wish everyone much success on their purchases and look forward to the Champions of The Future foal in utero sale in December, followed by the Winter Mixed Sale in January.”
