NRHA Celebrates Award Winners in Oklahoma City

The National Reining Horse Association tipped its hat June 20 to the 2014 NRHA world champions, plus the 2015 lifetime achievement and hall of fame inductees.

The 2015 National Reining Horse Association Derby is off to an excellent start in Oklahoma City, with Sunday seeing the first day filled with great competition, children making special Father’s Day gifts for dad and wrapping up with the NRHA Awards Banquet and Hall of Fame inductions.

On Saturday night, more than 400 NRHA members, NRHA partners, family members and guests gathered at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum to celebrate 2014 year-end award earners and introduce the 2015 lifetime achievement and hall of fame inductees.
 
Receiving awards Saturday night:

  • AQHA Leading NRHA Sire: Wimpys Little Step, sired by Nu Chex To Cash and out of Leolita Step, owned by Xtra Quarter Horses, LLC.
  • AQHA Leading NRHA Dam: Ebony Shines, sired by Shining Spark and out of Ebony Whiz, owned by Rosanne Sternberg.
