Here is one more reason to love the great performer and sire Metallic Cat (High Brow Cat x Chers Shadow x Peptoboonsmal): His foals are eligible for a $15,000 incentive purse at the 2017 National Reined Cow Horse Association Stallion Stakes, which is March 25 - April 1 in Las Vegas.

Any Metallic Cat foal that advances to the 2017 NRCHA Stakes Finals is eligible for the incentive. The Metallic Cat offspring with the highest composite score in the Open finals will receive a $10,000 paycheck. In 2016, the Metallic Cat Incentive winner was Cats Picasso (Metallic Cat x Playboys Vixen x Hickoryote), shown by John Swales for owner Robbie McKay.

In 2017, the Metallic Cat Incentive has grown to include the Stallion Stakes Non Pro division, with the highest-scoring Metallic Cat offspring in the Non Pro Finals receiving a $5,000 incentive payout.

Metallic Cat, the 2016 National Cutting Horse Association Sire of the Year, has sired money-earners of more than $11 million. Metallic Cat is quickly on the way to becoming an NRCHA Million Dollar Sire, with current offspring earnings of $630,712 in the reined cow horse arena.

Metallic Cat, foaled in 2005, is owned by Alvin and Becky Fults. He is an NCHA Futurity Champion, NCHA Horse of the Year and a member of the NCHA Hall of Fame. He is the second highest money-earning stallion in NCHA history, and in 12 show outings with cutting horse professional Beau Galyean at the reins, he never missed the finals or lost a cow
